Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of the Signature Delray Beach Concrete website and any estimate or work you get from us. By using the site, asking for a quote or booking a job, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us.

When we give you a written estimate or contract for a specific job, that document controls wherever it differs from this page. You can go back to the home page at any time, and you can learn more about how we work on our about page.

What we do

Signature Delray Beach Concrete is a concrete contractor in Delray Beach, FL. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, pool decks, steps, garage floors, slabs, footings, foundations, retaining walls and decorative and stamped concrete. We also do concrete cutting and foundation raising for homes and properties in Delray Beach and the cities around it.

The descriptions of our services on this site are general. The exact scope of your job, including size, thickness, finish and site preparation, is set in your estimate or contract, not on these pages.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no obligation to hire us. A quote is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, so it's our best price for the job as described.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is open, such as soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried roots, old debris or drainage problems. If we find something like that, we'll stop, explain it to you and give you the added cost in writing before we do any extra work. We won't charge you for changes you haven't approved.

Prices on an estimate stay good for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, and we may need to update the quote.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date with you once you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, storms or heavy heat can push back a pour date, because pouring in those conditions can weaken the surface. If that happens, we'll call you and set the next workable date.

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens before it can carry weight. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it, and you agree to keep people, vehicles and furniture off it until then. Damage from early use isn't covered by us.

If you need to cancel or move your date, please call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered materials or started work, you may owe us for those costs, as set out in your contract.

Payment

Your contract sets the payment schedule, including any deposit and when the balance is due. Payment is due on the dates it lists.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid. Under Florida law, a contractor who isn't paid may have the right to file a lien on the property, so please talk to us early if there's a problem with an invoice and we'll work it out with you.

What we can't promise about concrete

Concrete shrinks as it dries, and nearly all concrete will develop some hairline cracks over time. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, and we prepare the base so the slab doesn't settle with the dirt. Those steps cut down on cracking, but no contractor can promise a slab that never cracks.

Small differences in color, texture and finish are normal, especially with stamped, colored or decorative work, and a new pour won't exactly match older concrete next to it. Damage from tree roots, heavy vehicles beyond what the slab was built for, chemicals, flooding or ground movement isn't something we can control.

Apart from anything written in your contract, our work and this website are provided as they are, without other warranties, to the extent Florida law allows.

Limits on our liability

Signature Delray Beach Concrete is fully licensed and insured. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a driveway during curing, or for problems caused by work other people do on the concrete later. Before we dig, you agree to tell us about any private buried lines, sprinkler pipes or septic parts we wouldn't otherwise know about.

The information on this website is general. It isn't engineering advice for your property, and we're not liable for decisions made from it without an on-site visit.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with any part of the job, call us at (561) 279-6653 or reach out through our contact page first. Most problems get fixed fastest when we come back out and look at them together.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation before going to court. Any lawsuit will be filed in the courts serving Palm Beach County, Florida.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't affect a contract you've already signed with us.

If you have a question about anything here, call us at (561) 279-6653 or send a message through our contact page. We're available Mon–Fri: 6 AM–10 PM, Sat–Sun: 8 AM–10 PM, and you can expect a reply within 1 business day.
